That’s where Know Buffalo comes in. We put thought into who’s in the room and give people an easy way to break the ice, while leaving plenty of space for conversations to happen naturally. It’s our spin on networking: a chance to meet people you actually click with, share ideas, and find opportunities to work together.

Like Minded
An evening with people who "get me."
If you’re an entrepreneur, you know what it’s like to see an opportunity where someone else sees business as usual. You’re always thinking of what could be better, what you could try next, or who you could build something with. Sometimes it’s just nice to be in a room with people who get that.
Like Minded is a casual networking series for entrepreneurs who want to meet people beyond the usual quick introductions and business card exchange. It’s a chance to be in a room with like-minded peers who understand what it’s like to build something of their own.
Each event takes place at a local business and is built around something that makes that space worth experiencing, whether it’s the food, the atmosphere, or an activity we can enjoy together. We’ll bring in a guest speaker to share something useful, then make room for a relaxed group activity and conversations that can go wherever they go.
Come for a great local experience, meet people you have something in common with, and leave with connections you’ll actually want to follow up on. Maybe that leads to a collaboration. Maybe it leads to a new friend. Either way, it starts with a real conversation.
Creative Collaboration

Creative Collaboration brings together people from industries that can work well together. It’s a chance to meet others in your field, connect with people whose work complements yours, and see what ideas come out of those conversations.
These events have a little more structure than a typical networking night. We’ll use simple exercises to help you get to know one another, with guest speakers and activities that get your gears turning. Each event is hosted in an open space where you can move around, mingle, and follow the conversations that interest you.
We believe there’s room to learn from people in your own industry. Someone who does similar work might become a sounding board, a referral partner, or even a collaborator. And when different industries get together, the possibilities grow: new business partnerships, event ideas, and projects none of you would have come up with alone.
Creative Collaboration is for people who enjoy being around their industry peers and are willing to share ideas. If you see everyone in your field as competition, this probably isn’t your event. If you’re excited to see what you could build together, we’d love to have you in the room.

Networking with a Purpose
A little structure can lead to some great conversations.
Networking with a Purpose is our most structured event series. You’ll know what to expect from the start, with an itinerary designed to help you meet specific people. Together, you’ll explore ways to collaborate and help one another grow professionally. You’ll also leave with a custom action plan you created yourself.
Before the event, you’ll complete a short questionnaire about your work and interests. We’ll use your answers to make thoughtful introductions and bring together small groups for activities and conversation.
Know Buffalo will bring collaboration ideas, conversation starters, and points of common ground tailored to each group. Some ideas may be practical, some may be a little out there, but they’ll give everyone something to talk about and build on. You’ll have time to share your own ideas, get to know your group, and leave with notes and possibilities worth thinking about after the event.
It’s still a fun night out. We’ve just taken care of the “where do I start?” part.
